Comment by Hearthstone: Anduin Wrynn. I tried Paladin , Hunter , Shaman , and Rogue , but none of them stuck to me.
Then I tried priest.. This class was amazing in vanilla! It still is! A deadly ranged class that used shadows and diseases to destroy it's opponent! Or a godly healer class that could either use prayer or pure light for salvation. I loved leveling up with my priest, going into dungeons to heal or kill.
More specifically a Discipline Priest. I quickly fell in love with the uniqueness of the spec and class. Today besides my main, which is a Marksman Hunter, my Discipline Priest is my favorite toon.
If anyone wants to give healing a chance I would recommend a Disc Priest. I have never tried Holy, but I do kind of like Shadow and may end up dual speccing my Priest just so she can have a dps build and a healing build. Comment by SinaTvsl I can't play pvp with this class! God it's hard Is there any guides? Comment by Realmjumper I think Mind Vision is the most useless spell, don't use it it takes up space when you are pvping and pveing and need all the hot bars.
Comment by WoW Priest vs. Comment by Loupland Best healers for raids in my opinion You can do a lot of group healing with the Holy priest It was my first character :P Dranny priest! Comment by kabookiejoe Priest, the most popular class of ladies. Why you ask? It's spells are that of marriage. Life grip - To draw you in Shackle - So you can't escape. Mind Control - You will never get to make decisions again.
Mind Vision - To see what you are up to. Angelic Feather - If she needs a quick get away. Comment by Eido All automatically learned Priest glyphs by level: Level 25 : , , Level 50 : , , Level 75 : , , source. Comment by Segnal Seems like Holy could be more powerfull healer than Disc, yay finally. Comment by girlVSgame i am posting my very first question.
Comment by calicarebare05 Check out my bubbles! I know we have taken some hits and people like to comment in LFR about how low disc priests are on healing meters But check out those absorbs man, that is some sexy absorption! Love aside, I have a legitimate question. What are some of your favorite mana regen techniques? I hate sacrificing the Surge of Light talent for the improved shadowfiend and am extremely upset that you now have to talent into mana gaining shadowfiends Comment by QcRoman I've seem some amazing priests in game and on videos like Youtube.
I've played all classes, to max. I can't enjoy being a priest. I thought maybe discipline would be the type of healing I might reveal myself as being good at but sadly this did not happen, I'm no better at healing through atonement as I am any other way. I can hardly heal to save my own life no matter the class, let alone anyone else so that's two specs out. And shadow is being a caster in the weakest type of armor. Everything seems to happen too slowly on my end or too fast coming at me, especially in larger numbers and I end up in trouble, not having much fun at all and dying more often than I can accept as normal.
My numbers are well below what I would want them to be compared to other classes I play and I struggle. Some people are amazing as priests , I am not one of them. Not dissing on the class, I just know it's me. Something in me just isn't clicking with the play style of the damage dealing caster and once I get my priest to max level and in the case of Legion, the priest campaign completed I will sit him out until the level cap is raised once more.
It's a bit sad as I'd much prefer having fun playing my priest as much as I do all the other classes but I can not fathom this happening anytime soon. Comment by Boxofbeer Each class in Legion has a long class hall quest chain — campaign. During that chain you'll raise your power and power of your class hall.
You'll train followers, gear them, research your artifact and other things. Each class has diferent campaign, only few quests are the same. Comment by SanctusFR Hi, I'm playing disc priest now IL , I had no problems with mana for all the way up until last night I went from to item level, changed a few items, even added some gems for intellect, haste and mastery and today somehow my mana gets depleted so fast. I never used a mana flask on a raid before now I have to use one after each boss.
I even runned out of mana on one. In case you want to take a look my char is Lutecia from Drakkari server. I don't know if I did something or an update made something but its a huge difference. Any ideas? Comment by Moonsaber22 u see. Quick Facts. Table of Contents. Guide Navigation. Advanced Healing Guide - Learn about the core concepts of playing a Healer, to help you improve at your Healing Priest. But instead of spamming right away, walk backwards or strafe to create distance between you and the mob.
While moving, you can apply the Shadow Word: Pain debuff to the mob. Keep this debuff active on your targets at all times. In unfortunate situations where you are fighting two mobs at the same time, keeping this DoT active on both mobs allows you to efficiently deal damage to both while addressing one mob at a time. After the DoT is successfully applied, you can stop moving and go back to spamming Smite. For extra long battles, always remember to renew the debuff when it wears off. At level 6, you can learn Power Word: Shield.
Use it whenever you are under attack, or cast it upon yourself before combat begins. Either way, the shield should be up as often as possible, to help avoid damage and spell interruption. Visit your class trainer for a quest at level 6. At level 8, you can learn Renew , a healing over time spell, and Fade , which helps manage aggro.
Keep renew on whenever you or someone else is under attack, as it heals over time, sometimes saving you the trouble of casting a bigger heal later on. When working with others, use Fade when you have aggro, to help avoid being hit. At level 10, you can learn another ranged attack spell, Mind Blast , and Resurrection.
Now would be a great time to start deciding what type of Priest you'll play. See Leveling builds guide to help you decide where to put your first talent point. At level 12, you gain Inner Fire that helps A LOT against melee enemies, boosting up your armor against physical attacks, and should be buffed upon yourself at all times. At level 14, you can purchase Psychic Scream a must spell that will allow you to eliminate pursuit up to 2 mobs 5 at level For detailed info, see Priest spells.
A priest should always use Power Word: Fortitude spell on himself and any friends before engaging in combat. Make sure to keep this buff active.
Inner Fire , obtained at level 12, is a buff that can be cast by the priest on himself, and is useful to keep up, as it increases the amount of armor you have significantly. Usually a priest should pull with a slow casting Direct Damage spell like Smite or Mind Blast at the edge of the spell's range. The next spell should usually be the Damage over Time spell, Shadow Word: Pain , before the enemy gets within melee combat range.
Because it is instant cast , you can be backing up while casting it, to extend the amount of time the mob takes to get to you. Mind Flay , a shadow talent, allows you to further slow your target down and give your DoT spell time to do its work. Early on and throughout the adventures of a priest, Power Word: Shield can be used in a fight to instantly prevent some amount of damage to a party member.
Be careful to watch whether you or a party member still has a Weakened Soul debuff before you try to cast it again. Though it is not the most efficient way of healing, it is extremely useful, as it instantly absorbs damage to you or a party member. One soloing routine involves casting Power Word: Shield , waiting until the Weakened Soul debuff fades off or is almost faded off, then starting combat. This is so that when the mob finally breaks through your shield, you have the option of re-shielding yourself.
Mind Blast generates lots of aggro and in a group environment, may cause the mob to attack you instead of the tank. Shield prevents spell interruption from many forms of damage, and will help you or another spellcaster in your party when casting spells.
At level 10, every class begins to accrue what are called 'Talent Points'. You can apply these points instantly to your character by accessing the 'Talent' menu, which becomes accessible upon reaching level See the Leveling builds guide to help decide where to put those first talent points. You can also look at other players' preferred talent layouts for an idea of how you may want to build your own priest.
Of course, you may want to build your priest in your own way, in which case you may still want to look at this to at least help yourself plan things out. In the beginning, a priest is a very fragile thing. One add is highly dangerous, two usually mean run away or death.
